چکیده

Case studY initial presentation A 68-year-old man is admitted to the hospital for elective peripheral artery bypass to improve his ability to walk without pain. Underlying medical conditions include coronary artery disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, osteoarthritis, and obesity. He had 4-vessel coronary artery bypass graft surgery 3 years ago. Recalling the experience, the patient reports “seeing bugs” and “being out of it” for several days after his cardiac surgery and asks if similar effects are possible after this surgery.
